both dope, overall I think @thesandman 's sample put it slightly ahead to me, also a little more variation, when the filtered sample and ride cymbal hit, and some background strings, I dug that part

YUP gotta agree. sandman takes this one.

both were cool though. i think Chubbs' beat lost because he couldnt figure out if he was going with a mellow vibe or more of an aggressive vibe. it was like somewhere in between. sandman's beat was straight mellow, background music. let that roll.

Gotta go with sandman. those strings were so dope. loved the percussion and drums too.

Chubbs joint was cool though. Classic Boom Bap sh*t.
