First off, I gotta say that both of ya'll went the fukk in....:whew: 2 of my favorite types of beats (Trap and Sample) squaring off. Good shyt brehs

Cory dropped a dope ass trap beat. Now that is how you build a fukking beat up. That shyt had a dope melody, it dropped hard, had subtle changes, unique instruments and sounds, and it just progressed and went hard throughout. Had my head nodding and everything, but then it kinda just finished abruptly in less than 2 minutes. Teased the hell out of a nikka. You can't have a beat that dope be that short.

Dean had a dope cinematic beat. Loved the powerful vocal sample, the melody was hot. The tempo was good, like a nikka could really spit some heat to that shyt, then the lil change ups in the verse were dope and the breakdowns were ill. My goodness this was heat.

This could very well be a tie, I loved everything about both beats, but alas somebody has to win. I picked Dean's beat, but narrowly as fukk tho. His shyt just happened to be longer and the extra length just helped it grow on a nikka like really vibe to that shyt whereas Cory's beat cut off as soon as you landed in that special place the beat takes you.

Dope fukking battle brehs.:salute:

... I'm going to have to come back to this one I can't even gather the words to critique this one yet... This is going to be close... I haven't even made up in my mind who to vote for yet. This is the first time this has happened to me here. "I'll be back"

Edit: Now after a deliberation Period

Cory- The Intro and sound says "50 Cent" I loved how the beat builds with all the changes. It really sticks to that modern trap form of building. Solid drums and everything. The shortness of it doesn't bother me one bit because you made a statement and when it was done the beat ended. That trap sound of yours is really dangerous If I had to be knit picking at every detail the only thing I would say is when that Square synth comes in at the 44 second mark it's really the high- end really wears on the ears But other than that. This beat should be sent over to interscope right now.

Dean- You really built a monster, I really liked the old school drums really gave the beat it's feel. The Audio clip really gave the beat some context. I like the build up of the beat as well.

My vote Goes to Dean.

Props to both of you.

Cory dropped a dope trap beat. some ol "driving around your hood with the mean face" type shyt.

Dean's shyt was crazy. I could feel those horns in my soul :scusthov:. and the vocal sample was a nice touch.

:Salute: to both. Voted for Dean

Dope beats by both. I always think Cory's tracks sound like some Dr. Dre type shyt. That damn DK2K track sounds like some blaxploitation on steroids shyt. That joint is put together too damn well :damn: love Cory's track but it's hard to vote against Dean on this one

Both are very nice beat. Dean brought it back to the early 90's with the drums, catchy bassline and sample. Cory's arrangement was nice but had to roll with Dean on this. I thought his beat was much more well put together.

:wow: Dean_Keaton...the title, the intro, the beat, has Nas written all over it.

Cory's beat is a problem too, and very well layered and constructed (had to listen to it twice to catch all of the sounds)

had to vote for Dean though, too big of a wall to climb right there

:wow: At Dean's beat. Everything was damn near flawless with the track. The intro, verse, chorus, breakdown, transitions, drums. shyt was on point. The added vocal sample def. took it over the top for me on this battle. I would love to get this beat to my mans who is a rapper and be on that conscious tip. He would kill this joint.

I liked Cory's beat but Dean had too much heat for this match up.
