That isn't point blank. That isn't even really a real denial. I dont know what Nas said.

Is English not your native language? :what:

Jay Elec called the rumors bullshyt, said Nas would never need a ghost writer, and that Nas gave birth to his own style.

:mjlol:at this isn't point blank or a real denial. Are you drunk?

Nas flat out said "I've never used a ghost writer"

A point blank denial is:

I have not and have never written lyrics for Nas.

When people don't give straight answers, its very telling. This is what media training is for.

I'm :dead: at media training. It's Jay Electronica, when has he ever acted in a way that would suggest he had media training?

You sound high out of your mind right now.

The allegation is he ghost wrote for Nas....he said Nas has never used, nor would he ever need a ghost writer. He went on to say the whole thing was bullshyt. That is a point blank denial. Nas also said he's never used ghostwriters.

This board is The Twilight Zone. Drake can get caught with multiple reference tracks, other people credited as writers on 75% of his album....and people cop pleas. Someone literally says "Nas would never need a ghostwriter" and people are in here like :jbhmm: "not sure what he means by that".

yo, we gotta stop clowning this drake stans on this forum... @WickedGames or several other corny sounding motherfukkers might commit that :wow:
“I can’t believe this” says Zayn Parker, a close friend of Shane “I knew he was a lightskin, but I would’ve never thought this would ever happen, Nothing will be the same ever again” finished Parker. Authorities are warning lightskins all over the world to not take the Twitter beef serious.

Yeah, you're not describing the interview accurately. Unless there's another one I haven't seen. He never said Nas has never used ghostwriters. These answers are spin and only fly because its just music and nobody cares enough to get the truth. If this were a real interview he'd get follow-up questions, like this:

"Nas is one of the gods, one of the greatest of all time, one of the godfathers of even my own style,"

Ok, I didn't ask you who fathered your style or whether hes the greatest of all time. Did you write any lyrics for queens get the money?

"I met him on a humble submission and he is one of the greatest ever — he never has or never will need a ghostwriter. He's legendary, his pen game is unquestionable; salute to Nas."

Ok, I didn't ask if he NEEDS a ghostwriters and I didn't question his pen game. Did you write any lyrics for queens get the money?

"And all of the other bullsh--, is just bullsh--," he added, addressing the stories that have been told over the past few weeks."

Ok what specifically is bullshyt? Did you write lyrics for qieens get the money? Yes or no?

He didn't write Queens Get The Money. he coached Queens Get The Money. Which is why Just Blaze told nikkas they don't know wtf they talking bout, cause it was only them 3 in the studio. It didn't go down like that. Jay Elec gave Nas that awkward ass offbeat "beat". And coached Nas/gave him input how to flow to it and input on the verse. He didn't write a reference verse for Nas. He didn't ghostwrite for Nas.

Can't believe it's taken people this LONG to figure out he doesn't write :heh:

Went back and watched the majid Jordan interview on hot97 and the acceptance of the full truth being told was laughable:mjlol:....the cats flat out said, "yea, Drake and 40 had us in tents making beats writing music ...ENGINEERING SONGS...in one room and 40 and Drake would be in another yada yada yada.....and Ebro Rosenberg and Marisa were just:mjgrin:at the whole scenario caught up in the hype of back 2 back and the meek beef....they did nothing journalism wise to investigate the merits of the beef or drakes authenticity....they were just on some fan Stan in the moment shyt:scust:........at least Rosenberg got a backbone now, but meek did what the game needed ....made people stop being p*ssy out here. They were so interested in the globalizing of "hip hop" they forgot the rules and accepted this clown shyt. Some hip hop cards need to be revoked :umad:........hip hop is for the streets.

@spliz exactly.

@ Czerka Nas said he's never used ghost writers. Are you going to say he should've worded it some other specific way, or are you going to take that at face value?

:what: at "what specifically is bullshyt?" This is what I'm talking about. The ghost writing allegations. That was the topic of conversation. If you ask me about something, and I tell you "no, that's all bullshyt"....what do you think that means? You are either stupid or pretending to be stupid to confuse the issue.

Saying someone else wrote a song for Nas is questioning his pen. It ain't about what you personally think, because the only person confused is you. This was considered a dead issue as soon as Jay Elec spoke on it in 2012. Even the dude I quoted bounced from the thread, because he knows better.

@Czerka matter of fact, what is the headline here:

Jay Electronica Denies Ever Ghostwriting for Nas
Jay Electronica Denies Nas' 'Untitled' Ghostwriting Rumors
Jay Electronica And Nas All Deny Ghost Writing Rumors
Jay Electronica + stic.man of dead prez deny reports of ghostwriting for Nas | Music News

etc etc etc.

Virtually every article on this Jay Elect interview is "Jay Elec denies" or "Jay Elec refutes the rumor". ZERO of them misunderstand what he said, or take his response as being open to interpretation. Not just out of those 4, I mean in any Google search of the topic.

How come they all understand what he meant, but it's so confusing to you?

Fred.

See this is the type of shyt I'm talking about.

We have proof for Drake. Meanwhile both Nas and Jay Electronica point blank said that he never wrote for Nas. This has been cleared up since 2012:

Jay Electronica Dismisses Nas Ghostwriting Rumors, Calls Him A 'Godfather'

I swear every Drake thread is full of people quoting supposed "facts" that have no basis in reality.

Fred.

Youre right, Drake fans have been casually dropping dirt on legends names since this whole thing started..theres rarely an iota of proof and they generally clam up when pressed about it, but just imagine the mentality of someone who would, so offhandedly, throw this whole culture under a bus for the sake of a heavily manufactured, middle class jewish kid who is living out a persona...that shyt is really fukkin bizarre. Even more so when these same people will then state.. with no hint of irony.. what huge hip hop fans they are.

In fact, next person that i see doing this im gonna make a thread where they have to come in and actually support their accusation instead of slinking off, take it to a jury, seems only fair :ehh:

:manny:

Well agree to disagree then. Those articles are all referencing the same interview. And they're all written by the same sort of music "reporter" who writes fluff pieces. It's like taking an access Hollywood interview seriously. Unless he says "no, I didn't write lyrics for queens get the money", that isn't a straight answer to me and doesn't clear up anything.

Jay also lied about his album coming out lol

The end of the verse is formatted just like a Jay Elect verse and the content is too esoteric for Nas.

I don't care what they say.

Nas still in my top 5 tho

so it's not possible that jay told him how to format the bars but nas wrote the actual lyrics?

nas: abc, 123

jay: nah breh... you should say it like a, b-c, 1-2, 3

nas: well then i'd have to write it over like that

jay: i think you should, it sounds better that way

that's the difference in coaching or helping out with bars VS here, listen to this song i already recorded and copy it word for word
