Snoop is my top 5 favs
but he aint a top 10 rapper.. discography falls off.
Doggystyle is a classic
and blue carpet treatment is a classic to me.. lots of great singles and gems on his albums too
Snoop's real fall is lyrics. But flow, delivery, etc... one of the GOATs.

Snoop has 1 classic album, openly uses writers, and isn't exactly the sharpest lyricist or poet.
But Snoop's charisma is out of this world and his global impact and marketability is insane.
I'd say Snoop is a rapper who had potential to become a top 10 rapper but didn't really achieve enough to reach it.
He's a top 10 rap icon though.

I’ll pick Snoop over Wayne Drake or a Nicki but that’s just me. Snoop’s longevity and influence is at least top 20.
Snoop has a weird career started off with perhaps two of the 5 greatest and consistent albums ever in his features on Chronic and Doggystyle. Then it’s been hit or miss by like 50% or the bars, songs, albums, and everything else.
The albums we missed were definitely Dre producing all of The Last Meal in the 2001-era and also his “comeback” album in 2006 forgot the name.
With that being said his peaks are high enough for me to not have a problem with anyone putting him in a top 5 but he’s not in my top 10. If Daz/Dre are involved few people can see him but no other great rappers are as dependent on a duo of producers except like Kanye (himself).

Snoop has a great catalog in terms of sheer amount of dope songs
his albums aint consistent but he has a lot of dope joints that could put him in the Top 10
