The beauty of rap is that its a negotiation between the rapper and the beat :ahh:

Ex:

is a simple boom-bap beat but Monch completely breaks all the rules here

is a strange-ass funky beat, I wont even try to get the time-sig on this, but Priest just picks a flow and sticks to it and it works

its not its more complex than 4/4. isn't that your question, the most complex? make up your mind

then what is it

for the record this is considered simple meter

Simple metre or simple time is a metre in which each beat of the measure divides naturally into two equal parts, rather than three which gives a compound metre.

it is has to have multiple parts in order for it be considered a complex time signature.

9/8 and 12/8 are compound
