IGN: This Saturday, you're going to be a part of the WWE 2K15 roster reveal panel at Club Nokia. It'll be you, Sting, Hogan, and Stone Cold's the moderator. What can you tell us about that?

Roman Reigns: Yeah, that's going to be a funny situation. Because the whole thing's being moderated - key word - by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. What does that mean? He's controlling how many beers we have? He could be the worst moderator. What if we all started fighting? He'd like it. He'd fuel that fire. But seriously, I also think it'll be a great opportunity to showcase the SummerSlam itself. And it'll be really entertaining, because you never know what's going to happen with all those personality in one place. You've got myself, Cesaro, Sheamus, John Cena, Sting, and the Hulkster. With "Stone Cold" Steve Austin overseeing the whole thing. That speaks for itself.

IGN: Are you excited about the roster lineup for WWE 2K15?

Reigns: Oh yeah. I mean, I can't say I'm a full-on gamer since basically I just don't have time for it. I know nowadays, gaming can be a lot like social media. People just stay on it all day long. Like they're logged into the Matrix. But yeah, I enjoy it. When I get the time. But I'm looking forward to the announcements at the WWE Confidential panel and seeing the reveal of the roster and checking out the graphics. I know that the thing we're really hanging our hat on this year is the graphics and how smooth the game plays.

IGN: And how about heading into your first-ever singles SummerSlam match?

Reigns: I'm excited, man. It's a great opportunity to me. I have a really strong opponent in Randy Orton. A former multi-time world champion. He's held just about every title under the sun. And he's done it all in a major way. He's basically wreaked havoc and ran roughshod over the WWE for quite some time. Some people might forget that. Not the Viper part, but that for many years he was running the show. The biggest bad guy in town. So I couldn't have a better platform and a bigger stepping stone than I have at SummerSlam.

Reigns' roar.

IGN: Over the past couple Pay-Per-Views, you've had world title opportunities. Some people say you're not ready yet while others think you are. What do you have to say about that?

Reigns: Everyone has an opinion. That's just a crazy part of this world now. You can type things on the internet. You can have no credentials in any area and just get on your smart phone and write whatever you want. For me, I know me. I know who I am. I know where I come from and where I want to go. I know I'm 100% ready.

Everyone else seems to have an opinion, and claim to know, whether I am or I'm not. I would love to see all the people who run their mouths try and do what I do. Because they can't. I'm special and then men that I work with are extremely special. We were built, and I was born, to handle situations the way I do. I've always been the type who can be thrown in the fire and make it out. So I was ready six months ago. I was ready a year ago. Any time I'm given an opportunity, I feel I'm ready.

IGN: Speaking of being "born to do this," do you feel any added pressure coming from the Anoa'i family and having Sika (of the Wild Samoans) be your father?

Reigns: Some people might look at it as pressure, but I look at it as a challenge. For me, it's a responsibility to represent my family every time I step foot in the ring. When I came into this business, there was a bar set for me. My goal is to push it as high as I can to make my family's legacy even stronger. To add to the history that's already been created. So for me, it's a huge challenge that I'm willing to fight for every single day.

IGN: Your run with The Shield is done now, but you still have the Shield music and the entrance that takes you down through the crowd. Rollins and Ambrose got new theme music. Did you want a new track and a new entrance?

Reigns: No, I enjoy walking through the crowd. I think that's a cool part of the show. And I think it's become a bit of a signature trademark of the show. I would think now too that after my whole run with The Shield that the value of those seats have gone up. Before they were just seats. Now you can actually interact. When we would all walk down the steps, there were three guys there right up close. You could touch us. You could smell us. You know what I mean? We were right there. It's not a common opportunity.

If there's a certain Superstar who doesn't want to touch hands, he can just walked down the middle of the entrance ramp and nobody's close to him. When I'm walking down through the crowd, I have no choice. People are going to grab me. They'll get a sense of me up close and my real size. So it's a whole different experience. I'm very grateful to have kept that part. And for me it was an obvious choice. Because if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

IGN: We've seen guys use the spear before, but the Superman Punch is a new one. How'd that come about?

Reigns: That was just something that happened over time. I'd been hitting that move since the day I started, and now obviously I dress it up a little bit more with the theatrics before it. To send a signal out about what's happening. But it was just something that I'd used over and over and so it became more about finding the right place for it. And where better than right before a spear?

reigns gotta start doing more moves....

even sandow showcases a wider spectrum of moves in the ring....

Sandow is really good in ring though. He doesn't do a lot but he has had some really good single matches (vs. Sheamus, Cesaro and Cena). He had some good matches when he was in Team Rhodes Scholars as well. Roman Reigns hasn't been anything except the guy who comes in for the hot tag for the past year and a half. He's definitely not ready for the main event.

he might be ready in terms of the workload of traveling and doing appearances, but he's still got a way to go when it comes to the in ring part.

:youngsabo: Daniel Bryan's injury was a blessing in disguise. Forcing Roman quickly to the main event scene, where he is easily exposed. Dude just can wait to heal up, and then get back to work at the Rumble. :childplease: They probably will try to have Roman & Him in a tag partnership to rub shine on Roman.

He can be... im not even the biggest fan/hater of im, i like him tho and he can be ready. The promo's are weak but thats what they want. He'll get better. In ring he'll get better as well. He has more moves they just dont let him do them. in FCW he had way more moves. Obvious plan is to give him the belt and let him feud with Rollins. That's why they aint sniffed each other since the break up.

Good to see he has belief in himself.

if that happens, he is just gonna come in for the hot tag again and not have to bump or learn anything about ring psychology....but yea, I see this happening :dead:
