I would be shocked if Steen and Generico have a better ladder match than the one they had in PWG, but it'll probably still be gonna be a sick match.

I just hope Generico doesn't die taking stupid spots. Their match at "Steen Wolf" was scary as fukk :to:

I need good recs for Steen matches though...I saw one recently and was not into it...I feel like I'm missing something.

So, in between my reading I decided to look up the results for this...

Matt Hardy WON? :jadawtf:

:jadawtf:

(I really don't have any other reaction than that, honestly)

Are we finally done with this feud yet? They always put on great matches, but I'm really sick of Indy fans lavishing rhapsodic praise on a feud that needs a line drawn under it BADLY.

I think so, Generico was a one shot I believe. I don't follow as closely as I did but I guess Lethal is the guy getting pushed as the next challenger, there was an angle where he spit in Nigel's face on this show, because he couldn't get the main event shot, and got thrown out. Also if the Steen/Generico feud isn't over there's a good chance these guys will seriously injure each other pretty soon.

Yeah, I remember that Lethal was supposed to be the guy getting the shot here until Cornette was ousted, but then, of course, things changed.

Is Lethal still supposed to be a face in all of this? I obviously haven't been following ROH too much since about June, but didn't Steen at least attempt to turn heel at some point? Pushing Lethal like this just seems to be amazingly counterproductive to me.

On Steen and Generico halfway killing each other again: Yeah, basically. That screenshot is just insane. Everyone can see how that super-hardcore style's affected Steen (weight and injuries too, but anyone who says Steen is still anywhere close to a top-level worker outside of a gimmick match element is deluding themselves); it's a good thing that Generico doesn't really do these too often or else he'd snap in half.

I think this deal with Nigel was a heel turn(ish), I mean he has every right, kayfabe wise, to be pissed at Steen spitting on his mother but the way he was talking today it was clear they were looking for him to be booed. I think it's pretty muddled now with the booking changes, although there's every chance that I've missed stuff with this angle as well. I've given up on trying to get a handle on whether Steen is a face or a heel in general.

PWInsider saying that Whitmer is okay. How many times has this guy almost killed himself in this company? Powerbomb from the top rope to the crowd, Psycho Driver through a table, torn up knees in that cage match and that's just off the top of my head. If you resort to this sort of stuff, this often, to get a reaction... maybe time to rethink things.
