According to PWInsider.com, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is rumored to be contemplating competing in a match or two before WrestleMania XXIX on April 7, 2013 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Johnson returns to Raw SuperShow on next Monday's historic 1000th episode. The last time "The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment" appeared on the program was more than three months ago, the night after he defeated John Cena at WrestleMania XXVIII, when he vowed to become WWE Champion again.

Spike TV has canceled Impact Wrestling recap program TNA Rewind, F4WOnline.com confirmed Wednesday.

Last Thursday's premiere episode, the first hour of what was tapped to be a weekly three-hour block of TNA Wrestling programming, drew an anemic 0.2 cable rating. This rating is approximately one-third of what the network typically garners in the 7:00 p.m. Thursday time slot.

- The decision for John Cena to win the RAW brand's Money in the Bank match was reportedly made within the last few weeks. At one point, John Cena was going to be given the pay-per-view off.
:pachaha:
The latest directive from WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Triple H, is for title reigns to last longer to build up the significance of the championships. Both WWE Champion CM Punk and World Heavyweight champion Sheamus retained their respective titles at Money in the Bank and are expected to hold on to them for the foreseeable future.
:yeshrug::smugdraper:
rmer WWE creative writer Court Bauer recently spoke with Steven Muehlhausen about the upcoming [unconfirmed] Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar match at SummerSlam. Bauer, who worked with Triple H during his time with the company, thinks Triple H is the wrong opponent for the former UFC Heavyweight champion:

"He's (Lesnar) a top a draw. It's just how you apply a talent like that. Its kind of like, you look at movies. Everyone lays an egg, a rotten egg. But there's still a lot of box office power behind them. You just gotta find the next one. The followup is critical for his success in WWE. I don't feel Triple H is the right matchup for a lot of reasons both mechanically in the ring and in terms of long term investment.

If they (WWE) are really paying Brock Lesnar five million dollars for 20-25 dates and they brought in Paul Heyman for dollar X for X amount of dates. Do you believe that's helping the company's future by having Triple H beat him or lose to him when there's so many, so many young talent that could use that TV exposure, could use that win if they are going to beat Brock Lesnar or even losing to Brock Lesnar look better? Triple H is not even a part-time wrestler at this point. So you really have to question the decision making going on there."

Everything is being kept quiet regarding The Undertaker’s return but there’s still speculation that he may return on Monday’s 1,000th RAW episode.
:scheme:
WWE Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler was recently interviewed by the Miami Herald. Here are some highlights of what the King said about:
Randy Savage Leaving WWE Leading To Him Becoming An Announcer: "When the Monday Night Wars really got started, I was already there basically as a wrestler. Macho Man Randy Savage was doing the color commentating with Vince McMahon, and I was doing the wrestling on Raw. In the midst of the Monday Night Wars, several guys jumped ship and left WWE without notice and showed up down in Atlanta for WCW, and Macho Man Randy Savage was one of them.

"I'll never forget we were about an hour away from going on the air live, and at that time WCW went on the air an hour before us. I remember Vince was looking around, 'We need to find Randy. We're going to go over what we're going to have on the show.' Suddenly somebody came in and said, 'Vince, you need to turn on your TV,' and he looked, and there was Macho Man Randy Savage, walking onto WCW. He left, jumped ship, without telling anyone.

"So Vince came to me and said, 'King, can you help me out and do color commentary tonight, and by next week I'll find somebody else to do it full time.' So I agreed, and I've been there ever since."

The Monday Night Wars: "There was a lot of pressure, but to me, and I think to everybody in the WWE, that made it even more fun. The rivalry that we had. We not only had the rivalry in ring in our own company, but then there was that extra pressure of real-life rivalry going on between two companies. There was a lot of professional pride involved. Every week you wanted to do your best to try to beat them in the ratings. It was touch and go there for a while, but when DX arrived on the scene, we finally got the upper hand and never looked back.

"When DX invaded WCW, that was not only unheard of, it was almost unthinkable to do something like that. To have the nerve and the intestinal fortitude to show up at your opposition's live TV show in battle gear, no less, and actually try to force a confrontation, that was just something that had never been done before. I think that really was a turning point in the Monday Night Wars. That made people realize that our catch phrase about Monday Night Raw was really true, and that was anything can happen on Monday Night Raw."
:krs:
Mick Foley was recently interviewed by Busted Open Radio. Here are some highlights of what Foley said about:

His Run In TNA: "I look back, and I wish I'd appreciated the time I was with TNA a little more because I was frustrated when I was there with some things. I wrote a blog about it about a year ago, partially because I wanted to set the standard that this is how I felt about the company. I should've appreciated it for what it was, instead of trying to make it what I thought it should be, and I had the freedom to just have a really good time out there. There were some times when I would judge the success of my appearance by whether or not I could get Jeremy Borash to laugh. There were times when I would look over, and JB would have tears streaming down his face."

John Cena: "I realized he was going to make it, I mean really truly make it, the moment that he threw his shirt out at the Hammerstein. When that shirt came back to him and he laughed and played it off, [I knew he was going to make it] ... Even the guys who've left there, you don't really hear anybody bad mouth John. He's almost like the exception."

His Role At RAW 1,000: "I don't know. I'm at the show, I know I've got the plane ticket, but that doesn't mean when they put the show together ... You know, I'm sure they'll find a way that I'll be on it, whether it's in the background [or something else]. Honestly, I'm not as tough to please as I used to be. I've just been really flattered that I think I've appeared in three of those 'Raw's Greatest Moments.' I usually watch the show with the kids because I could get a feel for what was working based on what my kids were talking about, whose action figure they wanted, who they wanted to meet, and inevitably that would be the guy who would end up getting over six months later."

His Relationship with WWE: "Even when I was estranged from WWE, I realized I could either be bitter and miss out on these four hours a week that my kids loved to watch, or I could join in and watch the show. Not only could I appreciate how good it was and see how well things were done there, but I could really enjoy the show, especially when they would throw my name around. One time it was in a clip about two years ago, and then of course that moment when they brought up my book was when I went from if a question came up about a Hall of Fame slot down the road I'd go, 'I don't know. It's a big deal to my kids, I guess I'd do it,' and then I was like, 'Yeah, I'd do it. If they asked me I'd do it, no questions asked. I don't care if I went on first, second, third, or fourth."

Whether CM Punk Can Be The Face Of WWE: "Yeah, I think he can. I think in a way, he has. That was a year ago he did that stunning [promo], and there was a part of me that said, 'Hey, they may have dropped the ball.' I wish he'd sat out about five or six months, and I wish he'd done ROH shows as WWE champion, but the guy is money and he's different.

"I was on WBAB in Long Island and there was a guy who had just tuned in and he said, 'What's with this CM Punk? I don't get it.' But the connection is more legitimate because he's not a guy who strikes you right away. You see the standard bearers of the company over the years and you go, 'OK, that guy's a wrestler, I completely get it.' You have to absorb Punk a little bit and get it, and I think … was it Kimmel he did? It was Kimmel, but he also did Jimmy Fallon and he was really good on Fallon and if he gets that reputation as a guy who does well on these shows, he can become that mainstream guy."

WWE Being PG & Exceptions Like Cena vs. Lesnar: "You know, I think they can occasionally. I remarked about that match Cena and Brock had, and we watch a lot of the pay-per-views and I've never seen an atmosphere like that. Hughie was really fascinated with Brock Lesnar and he goes, 'Dad, would you be able to beat Brock Lesnar?' I said, 'Brock Lesnar would kill me,' and he got really disappointed and he went, 'But what if there was barbed wire?' I said, 'He'd still kill me.'

"I wish it had been stopped five minutes in and that wound was so bad, the side of the scalp; it was nasty. I was thinking, 'Man, they're going to stop this thing.' It reminded me of watching The Deer Hunter in the 70s when I had to listen to my relatives talk about how much they didn't like that movie for five days, but they were talking about the movie for five days. And that was a match that was very uncomfortable to watch as a fan, but I watched. [My son] Dewey's in the house and he's going, 'This isn't f-----g wrestling. What is he f-----g doing?' and I've never seen a crowd like that."
