Bad comparison, RDJ was just a junkie that was primarily hurting himself, and he was nearly blackballed from Hollywood for it.

Now, the reason he wasn't Blackballed from Hollywood is worth debating, because much of that had to do with the fact that one of his best buddies is Mel Gibson who at the time was a major player. Even now RDJ lobbies for Mel Gibson to be given another chance.

Comparatively Wesley Snipes HAS been blackballed from Hollywood for serving time for a non violent crime.

and Snipes has been blackballed, but I don't think it was because of the prison bid. He was booted out before he even got charged.

Not saying it was a bad comparison to Lindsey Lohan. I should have been more clear about what I was talking about in my post. I was saying it's a bad comparison to all the other shyt that's going on right now (Weinstein, Affleck, Mamoa).

The Lindsey Lohan comparison is actually perfect.

As for Snipes he got blackballed as soon as he was charged. Blade Trinity came out in 2004 and he was charged in 2005. Blade Trinity was his last theatrically released film for nearly 5 years. It didn't help matters that he (and Kris Kristofferson) sued the studio that made Blade Trinity.

Snipes was charged in 2006. Check out the films he did after Blade Trinity in 2004. Something is not adding up there.

And he tried to strangle the director, David Goyer. So later that night, Ron Perlman was in the city. Everyone who makes movies in Vancouver stays in the same hotel. It's like an episode of The Love Boat. Every time the elevator stops, you've got a different celebrity getting on. Like, [announcer voice] "Hey, now we've got Danny Glover!" So we went out that night to some strip club, and we were all drinking. And there were a bunch of bikers there, so David says to them, "I'll pay for all your drinks if you show up to set tomorrow and pretend to be my security." Wesley freaked out and went back to his trailer. [Laughs.] And the next day, Wesley sat down with David and was like, "I think you need to quit. You're detrimental to this movie." And David was like, "Why don't you quit? We've got all your close-ups, and we could shoot the rest with your stand-in." And that freaked Wesley out so much that, for the rest of the production, he would only communicate with the director through Post-it notes. And he would sign each Post-it note "From Blade." [Laughs.]

It is, but it was still an indie flick. Think it premiered at Cannes. I know I had been reading about it and bought it the day it released on DVD. They were saying that RDJ was back and ready to return to Hollywood. If I remember correctly, Favreau insisted on having RDJ, because of the quality of actor he was and his parallels to Stark.
