Please find the fault in my argument regarding the Rob Ford incident.

1) People love drama.
2) People love to pick on / hate on the stereotypical "fat, middle-aged, balding guy".
3) The news/journalism industry is tanking.
4) The media is covering this stupid Rob Ford story 24/7 because people love it and it sells.
5) There are more news-worthy events going on in the world.

I believe most people are blind to the fact that corporations control their perception of the world. #NewSlaves

some of your points may be valid in general but using this story as a platform to make them is stupid.

the dude is the mayor of a major city and he's been hanging with known criminals (one of which apparently had/knew the whereabouts of the infamous video and is now dead), having meetings with shady people in shady spots and apparently smoking crack while in office. the fukk man? of course it's gonna be a huge story. read the timeline of events, it's pretty crazy.

Anyway....the OP would have a point, if Ford were a respectable official that simply made a mistake. Ford is an awful human being, and has been a revolting mayor . I dated a girl in toronto a couple of years back, and when I visited the whole damn city c couldnt stop talking about how sick Ford made them. They wolves have been waiting on this guy, and he just gave them about 1000 sheep.

I agree as far as finding your own information and that this doesn't need to be on news 24/7.
The media has always been a stage. Anything really important ever really on there? shyt, celebs should have no place on the news, but they do.
