Roadside Assistance w/ insurance appreciation thread

was going to the store and my battery is dead...couldnt get a hold of anyone so since I have roadside assistance w/ my insurance i called them up... at an hour wait though


whats the best place at a decent price to get a new battery installed. Last time I went to walmart, which this battery only lasted like 3 years, I could have sworn batteries last like 5 years

AUTOZONE if doesn't last you can take it back under your warranty

AAA ROADSIDE = GOAT ROADSIDE SERVICE.

I'VE USED IT COUNTLESS TIMES WITH ALL THE ROAD TRIPS I GO ON. SOMETIMES IF I HAVE A COUPLE HUNNID OLLAS BURNING A HOLE IN MY WALLET I'LL HIT THE ROAD JUST TO GO SOMEWHERE NEW. WISH I HAD SOME EXTRA CASH I COULD JUSTIFY SPENDING ON A ROAD TRIP NOW.

yeah the cheapest ones start at like $75 ...but that warranty . i don't mind paying the extra $30 for it...

All cars are different though. You can't just change the battery on a lot of cars. I know the newer BMWs have a code attached to it and the dealer has to update the computer after putting in a new one.

That being said, most battery swaps are super easy.

I know you cant do it. Because it takes 3 minutes and no man who knows how to do it would consider paying someone to do a 3 minute job that they know how to do. I changed out my battery with a pair of pliers and a butter knife and saved myself $25.
