R.I.P. to a legend. Started watching his movies because of True Romance.

Kill Bill introduced me to him, because usually Tarantino will throw in actors he hand-picks for roles; either because he can see the talent, or because they influenced his movies.

It's pretty clear to see why after viewing it, that Chiba wasn't just Hatori Honzo, but a plethora of films that immortalizes him as probably Japan's answer to Bruce Lee.
