88, a life long well lived. He belongs to the Ages now. While all death is sad, for me, Donald has made a plethora of movies that cements his legacy. Jack Nicholson is the same age I think as well.
He had that presence, gifted with a look for a natural villain. When you think of actors who can play a great villain, but also have the look... you had Rutger Hauer, Alan Rickman, Jack Nicholson, and Donald Sutherland... just at the top of my head.
But what I loved about Donald, was that... I love a Villain that doesn't yell but yet facially, you can see the evil as he calmly showed you insanity.
