this was the fight that initially messed g-man up...my dad has this on VHS...matter of fact at some point i need to start converting my father's tapes into digital format

but that was a slugfest.....g-man absorbed some crazy shots from hawk and vice versa but unlike hawk..he was also faster and had a better chin

You can see in the post fight interview that McClellan blinks a little bit, something that you can see in a lot of subsequent footage of him until the Nigel Benn fight. I truly believe this fight is where his condition started from

Yeah this was a brutal fight & The Hawk was already on the downside. A younger Hawk might've lasted longer but G-Man was a monster. I thought he hurt G Man in the second. Just checked & yeah he did at 8:17 with a right hand that would've hurt or stopped anyone else.
