It looks like 20th Century Fox is likely to have quite a few Alien movies on the way. Speaking with Fandango, director Ridley Scott reveals that, as long as audiences turn out for his Alien: Covenant when it hits theaters May 19, he’s got some serious. franchise plans.

“There will be another one before we kind of literally and logically, clockwise, back into the rear back head of [the original] ‘Alien’,” says Scott. “…If this is successful, and then the next one, and then there will definitely be three more.”

What’s more, Scott even mysteriously dropped the title Alien: Awakening as a story that’s set between Prometheus and Covenant. Will a Covenant prequel be the next film in the Alien movies series? Check back for updates as they become available.

Alien: Covenant offers a new chapter in his groundbreaking Alien franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

Covenant connects directly to Ridley Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. It begins with the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy. There, the crew discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

Alien: Covenant stars Michael Fassbender (Assassin’s Creed, X-Men: Apocalypse), Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them), Billy Crudup (Watchmen, Jackie), Danny McBride (Vice Principals, Eastbound and Down), Demián Bichir (The Heat, The Hateful Eight), Carmen Ejogo (Selma, The Purge: Anarchy), Amy Seimetz (Upstream Color), Jussie Smollett (Empire), Callie Hernandez (La La Land), Nathaniel Dean (Somersault), Alexander England (Gods of Egypt), Benjamin Rigby (Lion), and James Franco (127 Hours).

Jack Paglen (Transcendence) and Michael Green (Green Lantern) provided the Alien: Covenant screenplay. Alien: Covenant will open in theaters on May 19.

Reading this it feels like he is gonna ruin what good prometheus was and then ruin it just like the sequel to aliens, by killing off newt.
Look ridley,..
We only want a new bad ass female heroine to come and kill the aliens on their home world.

Why is that so fukk'n hard.
shyt they wrote the newt comic that should be source material.

I love the series and the Aliens universe but how hard is it to make movies in sequential order? Why does everything have to be a prequel to a prequel?
Never watched any of the alien movies but shyt like this will confuse people and will loose interest
