Ricochet - the new Rey or new Cedric

Simple question although he has obvious flaws but for awhile it seemed like Ricochet was positioned to be the next Rey Mysterio...but after the last week seems like his career in the WWE maybe on a similar trajectory to Cedric Alexander (plus you know Ced and him have a one big thing in common that often limits the single careers of others that also have that common trait...)

so what do you think?
can Ricochet be an occaisional main-eventer like Rey has been or will he only be main eventing WWE Main Event

He could... people are just overreacting like always I'm positive Rey took Ls before too, even Ls to people who had no business pickin' up those wins. Rey was always booked in the WWE as a big deal and main event level talent.

If he did say lose to Jamie Noble on Smackdown in 2003, it was part of a particular story with a payoff.

Not no random “come back from commercial break and both guys are already randomly in the ring and the bell rings so they fight for 3 mins” shyt

It’s not about losing in some cases, it’s about how it’s presented.

His prime example is ALWAYS how that Brock shyt was presented. He ain’t wanna just have a random Raw where people just tune in and see him and Brock in the ring with no build up or hype and he just gets beat down like Brock is fighting Charlie Hass or something.

Dynamite Kid, HBK and many others from the 80s/90s when shyt was WILD probably had some crazier shyt that they experienced or did too, but one would’ve judge them or let it destroy their legacy.

Rey never lost to someone like Riddikk Moss with no story. If he lost to a jobber, someone he’s feuding with interfered. In this run, Rey has been protected and treated like the living legend that he is. Even the most optimistic assessment that Ricochet is on a losing streak doesn’t really work because he hasn’t really won to start with
