Flairs charisma is/was off the charts but you can’t throw athleticism in there like that. Even when he was in his peak he wasn’t revered as one of the best athletic wrestlers. Flairs best matches were because he built a ton of crowd heat/connection and they wanted him to get his just due. Not as versed in Funk tho so :hubie: no comment from me on him.

flair was wrestling well into his 50s or whenever, you have to be athletic to do that.

Above the fray.
Was a WWF kid but used to go to cousins house and watch TBS and the nwa wrestling...

What was it about Terry Funk that have y'all calling him the GOAT?

I don't see it and never did.

Ric Flair is perhaps the goat HEEL and did the best Promos, and Roddy Piper rivals him in both categories

Never said he wasn’t athletic breh.

I said that’s not why his matches were must see.

Steamboat, Snuka, Macho, Sting etc were all putting on much MORE athletic matches in Flairs prime.

Of course he was athletic, as are most/all professional wrestlers. But that’s not what makes him one of the greatest.

Funk was an amazing heel and a great babyface, could work literally any style and did whatever it was necessary to make a match worth a watch. And he did it for 40 years, the motherfukker made a clusterfukk of a "legends" battle royal at a PWG show a :krs: experience by cutting a promo and making you believe that he and Roddy Piper wanted to kill each other, and he was 67 :dead:

You add that ability - that I've only seen in only one other person, Eddie Guerrero - to a bunch of classic matches and the dude is above anyone else imo.
