Old wrestlers and wrestlers' old work don't matter here.

I once asked how come territory work isn't taken into consideration in these debates and was told "cuz"(paraphased)

God is the greatest north American wrestler of all time and it's not close.

This is the right answer. I'm a Ric Flair stan - as a wrestler :whoa: - but the last few years the gap between him and God has gotten bigger in my eyes. What's crazy is that his prime, (mid 70's) is mostly lost, but everytime something shows up, he puts on a show :wow: :wow:
you watched Funk and flair's best matches on youtube? :leon: that house show footage must be outstanding :banderas:

Over the last 15 years there's been A TON of old footage available. Specially if you want to watch Flair. Like 6 years ago I did a megathread on another board with a little over 80 NWA Title defenses from him. Links are dead but I can assure you all those matches are available in some form or fashion currently, you add that to stuff like the DVDVR 80's projects (JCP, Portland, Memphis, WCCW, Mid-South and Puerto Rico), random youtube uploads, NWA Classics on Demand, WWE Network and DVDs and there's easily more than 300 Flair matches in his prime. He's by far the legend with most complete/full matches from his prime. The only thing we don't have in full is his late 70's work which is supposedly very good, sadly there's mostly clips of those matches.

From God you can also access to easily to 400 matches if you take into account stuff like the All Japan Archive (rip, though still lives on XWT classics) and the same sources you could find stuff from Naitch. A good portion of his prime is lost, but there's still a fukk ton of matches out there to gauge how amazing he was as a pro wrestler.
