I watched Roots for the first time in 4th Grade...it was very rough, still rough to watch now

whats messed up is how in the beginning they showed how the Africans had their own culture and hierarchy/wise men/elders/teachers etc.....
and then seeing that wrestling teacher dude reduced to nothing along with Kunta Kente on them slave ships. No respect at all.
His mother letting out that scream when she realized they took her son to America to be a slave and that she'll never see him again
America helped rebuild Japan's economy and gave aid to them after dropping that Nuke.....
The U.S dropped a Nuke on black people that lasted 400 yrs and ain't give them sh1t but an apology and a hard time.......evidence that America simply gives zero fuks about nikkas mayne.
haven't seen this ish in a while, but I remember Kizzy's (i think thats her name, Kunta Kinte's daughter) story being my fav.
