Revamping the NBA rising stars game

Shouldn’t the rising stars game feature guys that have shown actual star potential? A lot of the guys playing in the rising stars game are destined to be end of the bench or role players while there are young guys that are on the brink of becoming an all star/or have proven to be good young players like Franz Wagner,Jalen Green,Jalen Duren and Dyson Daniels that deserve the stage and would do far more with it than nikkas like Reed Sheppard and Ryan Dunn

So basically you want an all snub team to play on Friday?

They have revised it a few times. Started off as all rookies (East vs West). Then it became Rookies vs Sophomores where the Sophomores won almost every game except for maybe two. Then they drafted players from a pool of rookies and sophomores. Then they did USA vs the World. After COVID, they switched to this tournament. I’m not sure why they switched from the USA vs World format for this game. It wouldn’t work for the actual ASG but for the Rising Stars, it’s fine.
