Buck has clashed with Trump, Gallagher endorsed DeSantis. Seems like the cultists are making shyt so miserable that the non-believers are hard quitting out of pure spite.

Also...this isn't the behavior you expect from a party expecting to retain congress and retake the White House. If you really think you're about to win, you stick around for the gravy train. But if you think you're about to get wrecked......

They thought they had control over the extremists they invited into the party.

This is like in the dark knight when all the gang leaders agreed to work with the Joker to get rid of their common enemy.

Then they realized he was using them and not the other way around. By then it was too late.

Ok so what going on with the gop to cause them to leave :jbhmm:
Ken Buck was already retiring. Since Boebert decided to switch districts and run in his district. He decided to do one last fukk you and trigger a special election. Boebert cannot hold office while running in a special election for another district. So she will be forced to run against an incumbent in the primary.

It wouldn't just have been him. Mitt Romney was telling them too. They brushed him off because he lost to Obama in 2012 but Trump won. In their minds a loser has nothing to tell them.

Only problem is, Trump was popular because he was a "what do you have to lose?" Outsider coming in. There were a lot of people voting against what they saw as lying establishment politicians.

He couldn't get the same numbers he got last time in 2020 because his voters were getting killed by covid and enough people saw that he was no different from any of the politicians they were mad at, and was worse in multiple ways. I'm not going to pretend he doesn't have a chance at winning, but he has things working against him that he didn't have last time.

The majority of people see him as a criminal, a liar, and no different than the politicians they're mad at. So I wouldn't be shocked if a lot of people who would be voting for him stay home.
