50 Cent could release "Illmatic" or "All Eyes On Me" calibre material, and the majority will not care...

His time in hip hop has come and passed....His biggest mistake was alienating G-Unit from the hip-hop community when he was on top...

The beef with Ja-Rule was personal, and he won...He should of left it at that...Instead he went at Fat Joe, The Lox and etc...He put too much emphasis on sales...

Basically, 50 Cent is a big reason why a lot of rap fans look the soundscan first, before giving an artist a chance...

50 Cent needs to either...

1) Become completely independent...Make the type of music that made him famous in the first place, and use some his money to distribute it independently via the internet, and maybe 50 thousands CDs in retail stores...

With his established fan base and touring, how the hell can he lose with such a plan...?

2) Go the Flo-Rida way and make music that is not even "truly" hip hop for the overseas and Euro-club fan base...
