One of two things is going to have to happen to the democratic party:
1. The ineffective members will be voted out.
2. A third party will show up. Take all the energy out of the party and they'll be forced to shift their positions to account for the popularity the policies of the third party are putting out to try to stay alive as a party.
Because as things are right now, these people are not serious leaders. They are completely out of touch with what their biggest supporters want.
Why are you trying to tell young people and black people to shut up and follow the rules that they are watching others break in real time while democrats do nothing substantial?
AOC and Bernie are posting regular updates cutting through the noise of the media and the consultant babble that most democrats talk in so they can tell people what is happening and what it means in straight talk. It's tremendously popular and a way of winning elections. FDR had his fireside chats. AMLO in Mexico had his streams and updates. What the fukk do other democrats have other than dumbass tweets and media babble?
Talk about lawsuits. Give strategies to voters on how they can resist. Give people the sense that you're going to do something other than have conversations. Tell people how you intend on not only protecting them, but what you would do if you're in power again. Paint a picture of the future.
They can't do that because these people already have whatever they want. They're fundamentally incapable of creative thinking. They avoid empathizing with working class black people because that's two of their fears(not being rich, and not being white or a favored token minority) rolled into one. So they shrink from what is a FUNDAMENTAL AND BASIC part of their job. They're more focused on PR campaigns than policy. More focused on fundraising than the impact of what policies that they're allegedly championing are supposed to do. These people don't want to govern, they want to post all day and act as pundits who can get paid to do nothing but talk. They need to get out of the way of the people who ACTUALLY want to create a version of America that is a skilled negotiator on the international stage, a powerhouse in technology of all kinds, a country with laws that don't change because of your skin color or bank account. A country that actually rewards hard work and punishes greed. A country that uses its laws to punish bigotry which prevents true patriotism from being born. A country that actually gives a shyt about children as human beings instead of political footballs.
The next 4 years are going to radicalize a lot of people, especially former government workers that were fired by these nazis. If democrats can't get on code, the most popular members can and SHOULD form an independent party and take the base away from the party that clearly doesn't care about it anymore. Young people, seniors, black people, non white women, etc. They will reward good policy by getting out and voting. If theres an exciting vision of the future, they will want it.
