I don't see how Ren & Stimpy is supposed to work in the 2020s. That show was responsible for a lot of what animation ended up doing. How can it fit in with the cartoons we have now?

At least Billy West is involved. That might be a sign that the show will work and they're not going to do another Adult Party Cartoon.

All MTV shows now is Ridiculousness. It’s literally a marathon of it everyday and entire weekends.

I know they tried the scripted TV route thing a few years back, but they never devoted enough money and resources into making it work. That’s why a lot of their actors would get poached to the CW and other networks as the pay was shyt. The dude from Ridiculousness and the cast of Jersey Shore more than likely take up the majority of their budget.

That rob dyrdek dude must be a billionaire with how many times they rerun that dumb ass show.

Comedy Central is lazy AF with these reboots. Leave some classic shyt like Ren & Stimpy alone because we know the fukkery won’t be there.

A major part of why that show worked is because of all of the other shows around it on Nickelodeon. They are gonna have this shyt some on then the Beavis reboot and then a trash 30 min comedy special by Gabriel Iglesias

A "WOKE" Ren & Stimpy? A hard pass from me. This show is an all time favorite of mine, but looking at how these reboots that have come out of Hollyweird have been handled within the last few years? Hell naw. And just how are they going to re-imagine this for a modern audience? Ren transitioning and becoming a woman, because he represented toxic masculinity? Watering down the humor to the unfunny bullshyt we have in adult animation now? If they're just going to change everything about the original, then just make a a new show. Unless some of the old crew, like Bob Camp are on board, then I'm not watching. But if Billy West is back on board, then it might turn out to be decent. Not optimistic tho.

On a side note- I think it's interesting how we can separate the art from the artist when it comes to R Kelly, Chris Brown, and even Roman Polanski, but this show is horrible because it's creator was a horrible person.
