I was watching some 2004 PPVs and thinking, damn the World Heavyweight title was the top title in WWE at the time. It was cool when they switched back and forth up until 2010. Now it's no doubt the WWE Title is the top title.

Yeah when HHH had the WHC it was the top title without a doubt, which is crazy cuz Lesnar was holding the WWE title then too. Even during the Batista/Edge/Rey/Orton/Angle era of the WHC, it would be closing Mania every other year alternating with the WWE title.

I think it was like 2010 or 2011 where it became the modern day equivalent of the IC title.

You're right, when Henry and Bryan had the title, those were good reigns, but them earlier classics like HBK vs HHH and Taker vs Batista was piff.

Cripple H effect..he was trying to put it over because it didn't have any real history to it except for it's start date on Sept 2002 out of a suitcase. No matter what closed Mania, the real WCW/World title was absorbed into the WWE title that Lesnar took to Smackdown after Summerslam 2002.

fukk are you talking about? The prestigious World Title traces its history directly back through the WCW championship all the way back to Harley Race and the NWA.
