Media gonna media...soon as the voting begins he’ll be outta here.

America will vote in a woman before a homosexual.

Apparently he had the largest crowd in the last big Iowa candidate event. I'm beginning to believe Iowa shouldn't set the tone for the rest of the primary anymore. Especially since everybody already knows he's going to lose South Carolina hence the "black people are the real bigots" bullshyt from him and the media.

I just hope you're right and Iowa isn't enough to win this for him.

Right now black voters are going with Biden and the guy who ran against and campaigned with Hillary last time. It just all ties to Obama's support in that area.

Mayor Pete being gay doesn't matter when his campaign isn't really reaching black folks right now.

Ima keep it real with you. Butti being gay is definitely a problem :yeshrug:,

he’s only wrong in thinking that it’s just black folks in the conservative south who have a problem with it, when the majority of white people in general in the south have a problem with it as well :yeshrug:

People are not being realistic if they think otherwise

I don't like how Black people are the ONLY ones getting attacked because of the lie that we're more "homophobic" than everybody else. I live in the South and most of these White folks down here would elect heterosexual Black person before they would elect a homosexual. I don't agree with it, but that's how it is.

Now with that being said, Democrats and their elite donors are insulting our intelligence with Mayor Pete making this assumption that he's polling so low with Black voters because of his sexuality and that's setting a very dangerous propaganda against a whole group of people.

Perhaps Black people aren't supporting Mayor Pete because he hasn't even held a FEDERAL political job or even become Governor yet. Neither did Donald Trump, but I didn't vote for him. Maybe Black people don't supporter Mayor Pete because in spite of him being young and gay, he's piss poor on how he treats his Black citizens of South Bend. If he can't handle South Bend, how in the hell is going to handle a whole country.

Democrats should tread carefully on attacking the only loyal base they have to move the needle for the Democratic party. I don't know what Democrats are thinking attacking Black voters and creating dangerous narratives against us.

I feel like they also don't understand that there's Black LGBTQ people as well...maybe they're "homophobic" too. :mjpls:

I get what you're saying.

but the problem is his campaign is leaking internal polling about black voters and now cable news / legacy newspapers are pushing it. it's just not a good look imo

Not arguing that. Its a desperate and shady move. hes not gonna be able to guilt people into supporting him

What i've always been worried about is this cycle of events

1. Pete fails to bring in black support, eventually will do a big "unity" speech that falls on deaf ears (he isn't THAT great of a speaker in all honesty, well trained but tends to sound rehearsed)

2. White liberals catch feelings and blame black voters (sounds similar?) Media jumps in to defend him and blames black voters.

3. Dem party begins to alienate black voters as they coalesce around him to the point where if he becomes the nominee, Trump cruises to victory in November.

:yeshrug:that's what i'm worried about that's all. I want Trump out too.

he isn't getting the nomination so it's irrelevant

I would vote for Steyer before "Mayor Pete"
