Remakes You Wanna See....

.....look, I absolutely HATE remakes in general, because they tend to be substandard in every way to the original.

But THIS happens to be one of my most beloved, favorite movies of ALL TIME, so I would love to see it reimagined with a modern twist.

Can't even imagine all the possibilities of who would play who....just off top, you need somebody INCREDIBLY fine to play Beth Foster (Bill Cosby's wife), because Denise Nicholas HAD to be one of the finest Blackwomen of the '70s (I'm guessing here).

So many classic characters...Biggie Smalls, Kansas City Mack, Bootney Farnsworth....this needs to happen one day.

White folks would lose their shyt over both of these but I'd love to see

1) A remake of the Breakfast Club set at an all-Black high school exploring the differences and conflicts within the Black community (Upper/Middle vs. Lower class Blacks, Black Americans vs. Black immigrants, etc.)

2) A RoboCop remake addressing police brutality. Plot could involve an OCP-like company using a Black cop as Robocop for PR after too many police-involved shootings of Black folks

I was against it at first but I want to see a remake of big trouble in little china.

I also want to see Quentin Tarantino remake Barbarella. I've never seen him do a Sci fi movie and I think that'll be a great fit.

I think they're doing a sequel/soft reboot with the rock. Which I ain't mad at.

Idk man, highlander has to be a cac because of the name being based off Scottish highland warriors. If they went with another dude itd have to be called something else. But now that I think about it...a name change might be the way to go, that way they can tell stories of other immortals that have lived throughout time.
