or what about jokes making fun of yoru religion?

im christian but i do find myself laughing at some of the anti-christian posts on here.

but that doesn't stop me from believing. i also read views from atheists all the time.

sometimes i feel like im a bad christian for entertaining this stuff, but at the same time I feel like if you TRULY believe you should be able to read anything and maintain your faith.

christians that are scared to hear the other side are :stopitslime: status to me and cowards

I feel bad when I laugh at blasphemous stuff, but then I think to myself... at least I'm a believer. However, sometimes people take their jokes too far. That's when I pull out the book and pray for their damnation.

This is exactly why atheists and agnostics rail against Abrahamic religions actually, because so many of you guys are into damnation, fire, perversion and hell than the positive aspects of religion:scusthov:

it shows how many of you are motivated by fear rather than principles:shaq:

If you a firm believer in anything, it can be frustrating at times to hear your faith attacked, but at the same time, one can never become more knowledgeable being close minded...I have friends that are atheists, jewish, sikh, muslim & the list goes on...there are always going to be people that attack you for what you believe in, u jus have to have the faith & conviction to stand by it. I believe in God because Ive seen his works for my own eyes, it would take a lot more than a stranger on a message board to shake what I have seen in my personal experience

The universe has bestowed upon you the gift of cognition, yet you chose to dishonor such a process by keeping a close mind?

Doesn't even make sense.

Yup!

although i will say, there's no way in hell i'm reading any witchcraft books, books for satanists, or playing with a ouija board.

i dont care how open minding you are, some stuff just seems like it will corrupt you

Why would ANYONE waste their time of those things? Religious or not?

I was raised christian and went to church every Sunday. But as i got older and began to read about other beliefs and religion in general. I began to identify less with Christianity. This is not to say I believe any less in god, but I don't believe in religion as it is practiced. There are good teachings we all can benefit from in all religions and I think we do ourselves an incredible disservice by signing up and believing in only one of them.

Not trying to change your beliefs about god. But if you do some reading you may see that religion as we know it today might not be the best way to follow his word.

I do it all the time.

But let me explain something to you...

When you've been raised to know and understand God and how it relates to your own self...and you're put in a sudden life threatening situation, that ONE SECOND before you THINK you're about to DIE, you yell "Oh God!"

Something to think about.
