Reason 8 Vs Logic Pro X

been using maschine for the past few years but looking to make a switch. Was just about to buy logic but just wanna be sure it's the best choice for me. I love how you are able to change the tempo of a sample without changing the pitch(and vice cersa) in logic. that's always been a feature i've wanted in a program. one thing that has me worried is the learning curve/workflow in logic. heard it's crazy. i've used reason in the past so it'll be easier for me to jump back in. another question I have is about the stock sounds.....which program comes with better sounds out of the box?....mainly for hip/rnb beats. about to make a decision in a few hours and don't wanna regret it

youll eventually grow out of reason, with logic and its vst support, once you want to move on and expand youll have to buy another DAW. might as well just go straight to Logic, Cubase, Studio One, etc etc that supports VSTs. I find these programs to be better for mixdowns and head room as well, tho I know one cat that can get theatrics out of Reason, his mixdown game is insane. Reason was great as a beginner tho, getting my head around sequencers, how to use virtual drum machines, but then when I saw Logic, I was like

i mean, if you really want an ideal set up imo, keep maschine, get reason, then get logic and use that with maschine and reason running thru it. talk about beast mode?

about stock sounds, logic has the best loops and a drum designer. reason has the best electric bass...and a drum designer. its all really what you make it though

ended up getting logic for now. only wanted to spend 800 on new music gear and ended up droppin 1300..... wanted logic, komplete 10, and an axiom 49. then I was lookin at the komplete kontrol keyboard and was like ......so dropped 700 on the 61 key. but I fukked around and already purchased the axiom off ebay.....so if anybody's interested in an axiom 49 i'll be gettin it in a few days.
