I met one when I was in arizona. He was a black dude born and raised in mexico but converted when he moved to the states.

Personally I have met few but they were indistinguishable from arabs ones they grow out their beard and wear a thobe, until they told me they were Mexicans I believed they were middle eastern. Also there's a special on aljazeera about Islam growing in south America.
