From the Showtime Lakers & Bird/McHale/Parish Celtics almost singlehandedly saving the NBA to the 90s Bulls taking the sport global. Shaq & Kobe Lakers carrying the League post-MJ to the Heatles/Warriors exploding the sports popularity.
The NBA has historically NEEDED Superteams & the ratings decline is mostly due to the absence of them but for me the Playoffs have been so much more fun without them.
The West is loaded with talent & is the most balanced it's ever been while the East is very top heavy instead of just one man dominating the entire conference.
We got the return of KD/Steph/Klay/Kyrie & the Nets/Warriors to look forward to next season too.
The West in particular is going to be a bloodbath next season and you'll probably see far less players sitting out for rest because Playoff spots won't be easy to acquire.
