8. Don't live there but I think the city is underrated as a place to visit. Really nice downtown area. Great sports town. Weather can be mercurial but thats with most midwest cities. Great black community even with the issues of violence. Dope hip hop scene.

Wouldn't go here again except for business.
Cold as whale p*ssy until early May then 100 degree summers. I respect the culture but the city is shythole similar to mine

I gave Chicago a 7/10.

Pros:
-"Poor man's" New York. You get the big city feel but at much cheaper prices. You can get a nice apartment in Downtown Chicago for less than what you'd pay in the outskirts of DC. Very affordable city.
-Very good food scene, especially steaks
-Good nightlife with a lot of fun activities.
-People here are very friendly and easy going

Cons
-While it is a big city, it is the mid-western city rather than a global city. People who graduate from schools in Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio etc all move to Chicago. So even though it's a big city, it can feel quite homogeneous in some senses for this reason. Less diverse than some other US cities. Plus the city can feel quite segregated at times.
-Cold AF. This alone knocked it 1 point. Chicago gets uncomfortably too cold for too long of the year. Dipping below 0 far too often. They hit 23 below 0 earlier this year. Screw that.
-While it does have the lake, it's an inland city. Might not matter to some, but for others it does.
