I just wanna visit the Shanghai tower once in my life. Hopefully I'll have the balls to do it when I do go and I'm not too old. Rest of the city looks nice. Don't know much about out other than I think it's the most populated. What a stereotypical sounding name the mayor has. :dead:

The city looks nice but it does has a pretty bad history. Back in the 20’s and 30’s it was a haven of prostitution, drugs and gambling and because of that it was nicknamed “The Whore Of The Orient” because of it’s reputation but I don’t think it’s as bad now but I would rather visit Tokyo and Seoul first before I set foot in China because the laws over there are pretty strict.

Yeah, his name is pretty stereotypical. :russ:

Tbh I didn’t even know there was Disneyland over there lol. There’s a few hotels close to the tower but it’s pretty expansive. I’m not really a big fan of China overall though so I have no plans of visiting anytime soon.

Yeah I think it's fairly new and not as big as the others. I just wanna visit them all, especially Tokyo one. Yeah not a fan either especially with all their communist rules.

Their behaviour is trash. Zero manners. Folks stopping in their tracks to stare. Folks running up on you while taking a pic to sneak a pic of their own. The nicer ones ask if they can take a pic with you. Ppl standing over your dish at a restaurant to get a good look when deciding what to order. Just terrible...

They drive like maniacs. Air quality trash. But the shyt is super clean and developed. They just haven't gone through the social development yet. A lot of this could've changed over the last 10 years.

The people of South Korea and Japan are incredibly more well mannered.

I was only in Shanghai for a day. All I remember is a bus tour of the core downtown area, this market in old Shanghai you get straight hounded (aggressively) by shop reps to buy something at a particular store. Spent ten minutes then hopped back in a cab to get the hell out of there.

The highlight, if you want to call it that is the massive culture shock. Literally felt like I was on a different planet. Two weeks there, and the only time we saw other black folk was when a tour bus pulled up at the Great Wall. Saw maybe a handful of whites. Hordes of Chinese everywhere, all the time. It was like a perpetual rush hour.

No desire to go back honestly. I'd give it a 5/10 for the unique experience/shock. (I guess this a collective thoughts of my time in China as a whole based on my time in Hangzhou, Beijing, Shanghai)
