Never considered this an anime since it was live action.

But it is though. The first four episodes of MMPR is literally the first four episodes of ZYU. With the same introduction of the white ranger and everything.

The white ranger wasn't in zyu, it was in dairanger and the white ranger was a kid

This should have been done last or not at all. It's iconic for what it brought at the time but I feel like it would be better categorized as a children's tv series.

Super sentai is Tokusatsu which is basically like godzilla, not mecha anime like gundam.

Applaud the effort but there are so many series that could be and should be done before this. We still need Ghost in the Shell(series and movie hopefully), Ninja Scroll(movie at least), Akira, etc.

But MMPR and the first movie was huuuuge for me at 3-6 years old.

You'd probably have to put this separate from all the other anime since it's live action. Even more different from an anime TV series than a film would be.

I haven't set eyes on power rangers since I was....10? Thought it was cool at the time, got lots of action figures for birthday/christmas gifts , but I could never finish an episode because I had to go to school before it ended. It also wasn't the japanese version of the show, just the bootlegged American brand. I'm guessing most of us haven't seen the real PR in super sentai.
