I need some examples of rappers that became famous after many years of hard work and releasing loosie's. The reason is because I have a theory that it's if a rapper doesn't become super famous in their early or mid 20's then they will never become super famous on lil wayne, jay z's level.

So...fire them off. :hula:

Even though he got his start with No Limit when he was like 20, and then was signed to Young Money in his mid-20s, I'd argue that Curren$y's career didn't really take off until he left and went on his mixtape run beginning around 08/09. And I don't think he really caught the casual fan's attention until 2010 with PT and PT2, so that's close to 10 years until he really found his lane and "made it".

Also, not a mega-star like a Jay-Z, Kanye, etc, but I still can't wrap my head around the late-career renaissance of Juicy J :ohhh:

Dude is in his 40s now and probably more popular than he ever was in the 90s or 00s with Three 6.

I'm pretty sure gza was kinda old when he dropped liquid swords.

It's threads like these that make appreciate real dudes that was in their teens when they dropped classics

Dpg, snoop, nas, mobb, pac, some wu members etc
