That's real and a harsh reality for any black person who tries to give back and do for the [black] community.

My oldhead said something that really stuck with me in times like this. "nikkas love to talk about who selling out. But what I want to know is who's selling in??" It's so easy to talk shyt about how much a person of means needs to "give back" when you're not that guy. But people don't want to keep that same energy when they are called upon.

I bet if 2chanz fall back after this, the mfs begging him for money would be calling him all types of sellouts & frauds. Yet those same people cannot be bothered to volunteer time (for people who don't have money) or money for the community when it's in their capacity.

I've volunteered and attended black events. Donated to my local NAACP chapter from time to time. It hurts my heart every time to see bright eyed fresh out of college folks who are super hopeful about improving the black community slowly become jaded because of shyt like this and the overall lack of care for positive things. And bless the persistence of the lifelong activists who continue to show up year after year in spite of this dynamic
