Good look on this one. American cities are so badly put together.
I’m honestly surprised there hasn’t been a trend to build new urban centers in this country. Starting from scratch with modern planning/designs could be a big help on alleviating housing problems. Granted it’s probably much cheaper/profitable to gentrify but at some point that space will run out. Plus ironically, the places that gentrification could actually help (mid major cities and cities with advantageous location but lack of investment) don’t receive that help while the same usual suspect big name cities are dramatically transformed in ways that push out the community it was supposedly going to help.
A lot of these current cities were built up from the money of past industries so curious as to why with all this money America has dusty ass cities brimming with homeless people while other parts of the developed world don’t have that problem? Tech industry would rather take field trips to space than build something long lasting for everyday people I guess.
