His first two albums are clearly his best. Chicken & Beer was heat too, but you could feel a switch coming. Red Light District was even more of a switch, stuff wasn’t hitting the same. Release Therapy was “serious Luda” and in turn, less fun Luda. Some dope songs, but Money Maker is one of my least favorite singles ever. Theater of The Mind was like a better version of Red Light District and Release Therapy combined. There was “old Luda” on there, some serious stuff, and stuff I’d never want to go back to. Battle of the Sexes was awful and the peak of corny/Big Sean/YM punchline Ludacris. Ludaversal was a nice bounce back to let you know he still had it. It was a mature album without the fun being sucked out of his rhymes. Release Therapy and Red Light District could flip flop honestly.

Back for the first time is what I consider his best. Theater of the mind, and word of mouth are 2 and 3. Back for the first time was his most complete album. All the rest seem to start out hard as fukk then sputter out by the end. I like some songs off the rest of the albums but the top three are the only ones I can listen straight through, from front to back, without skipping.
