For those wondering, the Daniel Bryan/Randy Orton fines from WWE are legitimate. According to WWE sources, the actual fines were for the top rope spot. That was the only chair shot that was directly to the head. Orton did try and protect Daniel Bryan because he held back on the swing of the chair, but the move is still banned in WWE.

As we’ve reported over the past few years, chair shots to the head are banned in WWE and have been for quite some time now. It’s a very smart move to protect their talents from suffering serious injuries. The company is taking chair shots to the head VERY seriously these days with all of the recent concussions. Randy Orton’s “punt kick” to the head and the “piledriver” are also banned in WWE. The punt kick Orton delivered several weeks ago was a one-time deal and was rehearsed numerous times before it took place.

Yeah at first I was like "bullshyt" but then you think about them later on in life and trying to prevent WWE from having a lawsuit filed. That said, the match was piff :jawalrus:

Bryan has been in much, much more stiff matches than the likes of what happened on Monday. Cool story for those that are soft though and need that protection.

Spinning. They used to let guys wild the fukk out for years for ratings and if they were pressed against the wall again? All of that shyt would disappear over night if it meant higher viewership. They had Foley do two HIAC drops in under two years. It's not about the workers. It's just perception again..like with Stand Up for the WWE and "Be a Star" They don't even have a union, right? LOL.

Never liked those hard ass chairshots to the head. The ones Brock took from Jeff Hardy and Taker to Vince were especially brutal.

Why was that though? They turned a blind eye to roids and all of that heart attack inducing shyt for years. When they got attacked by the media following Eddie and Benoit's deaths, they tried to act different. Before of all that though, they didn't really give a fukk for years. Not if it meant ratings and money being made. It took tragedy for common sense to prevail. Not impressed.

Yeah, how did that broken orbital bone, detached retina, and partial blindness in his left eye end up working out for Bryan in the end?

I'd rather not have chairshots than have wrestlers become invalids due to multiple concussions, myself.

Worked out well..he's the best in ring wrestler in the United States.

And they don't do blood or odd chair shots..that was just Blandy being Blandy. What else is new? That boy is lucky he has a job after all of his failures.
