Whelp, that'll do it.

It's funny that he's this adamant about going to LA because I remember earlier in his career when he was going at the Heat with the Pacers he was talking about how there was a 0% chance of him ever going to LA because they had a terrible team around that time (I wanna say this is around 2014), now he's still trying to go there and their team is still terrible :skip:

The team has increased their wins every year Luke has been a coach. And they won 35 this past year with a ton of injuries to the Laker's main core. Anyone can see that they are trending upward.

This ether Fiz dropped on Marc Gasol might need its own thread

“He had it in where Marc was going to be a certain way and he didn’t care who Marc was and he didn’t care how the offense was, he didn’t care about the style we were playing. It was going to be about – ‘This is a new era. The Memphis stuff is over. That Grit n Grind bullshyt is done,’ ” a source said. “Then he turns around and says, ‘We’re going to do it the Miami Way.’

One of the other big reasons was when Fizdale basically told Marc Gasol that he would rather have LeBron James, but not everyone could have what they wanted. Fizdale went around the locker room asking each player if they thought they could win a championship.

The younger players went along. Gasol, however, answered, “No.” Then when asked for an explanation, Gasol replied, “We don’t have the right leader.”

Fizdale had a solid comeback, but it couldn’t have helped his future with Gasol.

“I get it, you want Gregg Popovich, and I want LeBron James,” the coach told his star player, according to a source.

It impresses me that LBJ has never been caught up in any off court drama in his entire career considering that he's had all eyes on him since he was a minor and he's grown up in the internet/social media era. That's really admirable/respectable :salute:

Same goes for Duncan, he had a divorce but that' whatever.

THere are others like Curry, Kawhi etc but LBJ's had superstar popularity since he was a rookie.
