Strength has stayed steady at a much lighter body weight this summer. .. cardio has gotten damn good for a heavyweight.

I’m trying to be here for both a LONG time and a good time. Took some humility to let go of trying to be the biggest guy in the gym for a while. Needed to detach from that mindset. That said tho.

Another 1 on 1 w my oly coach tonight. Triple hang power snatches were a bit sloppy. Catches just didn’t feel right. Clean complexes went a little better. Finished hang power clean + 2 push jerks @ 195#. Still gotta learn to keep hamstrings loaded longer. And on jerks have keep chest up and shoulders back better. But if I’m throwing around almost 200# now and my form isn’t even there I’ve got big numbers coming my way once I do get it right. Baby steps, baby steps. Work.

That’s my plan. I quit my job last week so I have no excuse for not eating right. Got all the time in the world to food prep/make fresh meals and workout til I pass out. This must be what it’s like to be a celebrity - your job is you :russ:

Got caught creeping in the mirrors between my sets. She was across the gym and just happened to be looking at the same mirror ( which was odd because there were closer ones) and our eyes met :russ:my transition was smooth though and did not look startled.

:deadrose: I was JUST talkin about that shyt yesterday.

Lookin at a 85/15 ground beef pack like :leon: til I flip it over and its 17g fat for every 20g protein :what:

The way meat is categorized and labeled gotta be WOAT in the food industry. :mjlol:
Anything that is ground seem suspect. It is one thing to say chicken nuggets can contain a bunch of other stuff but when making direct claims such as fat content it really should conform to whatever claim they are making. It would be like pharmaceutical brands claiming to have 200mg of an active ingredient while only containing half.

Falsifying product labels is illegal and I doubt many companies are willing to risk hefty lawsuits. Supplement industry is one thing, but food? I'm not so sure its near as widespread. One trick I'm familiar with is how they're allowed to round up or down to nearest whole numbers. Products listing 0g fat per serving can really have .4g per serving. Companies will tank serving sizes to utilize this trick and deceive potential buyers. There's a specific phrase a product has to label to truly be 0g of a macro but I can't recall what it exactly is.

I'm looking to cop a meat grinder. Lean beef by me is cheaper than ground for whatever reason. Cheaper + I know whats in it.

What products are you buying....can't verify beef, but I got a package of the homestead 93/7 turkey. The back label says there is 12% of my DV of fat in each serving and there is 8g of fat per 112g/4oz. serving. The back for my turkey proves true. Might be diff with beef.:beli:
