The Manslayer
So, apparently the Raiders signed Jimmy G even though he didn't pass their physical exam. This stemmed from the foot/ankle injury he suffered against the Dolphins that knocked him out for the season.
When that injury happened, they had first said he needed surgery but then walked back on it and said he wouldn't need surgery after all and there was a chance he could return in a deep playoff run (he didn't). However, when he was signing with the Raiders he failed the physical and wound up having foot surgery after they signed him in March.
With him failing his physical, they still agreed to sign him but reworked the contract including a waiver that allows the Raiders to cut Jimmy with no money owed if the injury does not heal properly and he's unable to play game 1.
He's still recovering from the surgery currently and will not be participating in OTAs as a result.
The Raiders organization is a bunch of dumb fukks, they got rid of Carr for someone less talented and the dude might not even be healthy enough to ever play for them?
Also they knew this and made no attempt to get an Andy Dalton type of QB that can step in as a respectable starter. Instead they got Brian Hoyer
