Let’s be honest, most news sources are or have the potential to be compromised. The best you can do is keep the corporate shyt to a minimum and fill in the gaps with reputable independent and international news sources.
Personally I don't even watch cable news (in fact I don't bother with cable anymore with all these streaming services) but I wouldn't put Maddow on the same level as FOX, that's an exaggeration at best.
I think the point is that's irrelevant.
Both are horrible sources of news, the fact that Fox is worse than horrible doesn't give Maddow any extra points.
It's like if you have two murderers, one of them killed 10 people and the other killed 5 people, the fact that one killed more doesn't really make one better than the other.
These two can't carry Rachel's bra strap. Opinion shows whether online or cable should not be anyone's primary source of information.
They all get their information from print media and then offer their commentary. I would advise people to get the bulk of their news information from print media, form an independent opinion and then supplement that with opinion media for a different perspective.
What used to be 95% news stories and 5% Editorial, has been completely flipped upside down in this era of cable news, twitter and youtube.

Things has become so partisan and tribal it's crazy.
Saagar and Krystal report on the news that Rachel Maddow can't be considered as factual and you reply saying something about the two hosts shows that.
You just tried to turn this thread from MSNBC and a court ruling in to Krystal/Saagar vs Maddow.
The people reporting this is irrelevant other than the fact that nobody else is.
Its all opinion news based on print media journalism. I just think Rachel does a much better job of presenting her opinions.
These YouTubers think because they are not on corporate media, somehow their shyt don’t stink.
It’s all opinions at the end of the day. That’s why I say people need to gather information from the primary sources and form opinions before listening to any talking head distill that primary source of information for you.
None of these nikkas are doing journalism.

Maddow at the very least, sources the content that her segments generate from.
Guys I see where you are coming from but I think you are missing the point.
You are limiting this court ruling to her show being opinion-based and not journalism, even when MSNBC admitted not to take Maddow seriously.
It's not only opinion vs journalism, an Obama appointed judge ruled that it is exaggeration, which means even her opinions should not be taken seriously but merely as entertainment.

That changes 100% of nothing that was said, people should do their own due diligence instead of relying on cable news and Maddow is better at presenting the facts to support her opinion. So, she's not classified as a journalist - ok, that doesn't bother me or make me feel any kind of way.
