Even if you don't like her, you have to admit, this is impressive for an 11 year old.

Thursday morning, Quvenzhané Wallis scored a Golden Globe Award nomination for best actress in a musical or comedy film for her titular role in Annie.

The precocious 11-year-old faces tough competition against far more experienced actresses - Emily Blunt (Into the Woods), Julianne Moore (Maps to the Stars), Amy Adams (Big Eyes), and Helen Mirren (The Hundred-Foot Journey).

The 'modern re-imagining' doesn't hit theatres until December 19, but the Hollywood Foreign Press is already impressed with the charismatic child's performance as a streetwise foster kid from Harlem.

Precocious prodigy: Thursday morning, Quvenzhané Wallis scored a Golden Globe Award nomination for best actress in a musical or comedy film for her titular role in Annie

Back in 1982, both Aileen Quinn and Carol Burnett received Golden Globe nods for the John Huston version of the 1977 Broadway musical.

But even if Quvenzhané wins, Ricky Schroeder will still hold the title for youngest Golden Globe winner at age 9 for The Champ in 1980.

Wallis made Academy Award history at age 9 when she became the youngest actress ever to receive an Oscar nomination as Hushpuppy in the 2012 drama Beasts of the Southern Wild.

Breaking records: The Louisiana-born prodigy is also the first child celebrity to be the face of a luxury brand - Armani Junior

'I was really concerned about not casting Broadway kids. We didn’t want anyone who knew how to emote to the back of the house.'

It's hard to believe Annie was almost played by eccentric 14-year-old Willow Smith, who dropped out of the musical January 2013.

Quvenzhané will next star in the 2015 drama Fathers and Daughters alongside Jane Fonda, Octavia Spencer, Russell Crowe, and Aaron Paul.

#blackexcellence :blessed:

I'm glad willow didn't get the role. She's too tall and lanky and onto other things. Que is cuter. I'm definitely gonna see it.

Yea no for Willow......I don't want any lesbians or homos representing for black folks in anything.
