Could have been worded better but i agree...religion has been a tool used during slavery and colonization. Ever hear the quote..."We had land when they came with the bible and after a while we had the bible and no land....". I say that not to single out christianity because other religions have been used for the same purposes as well. shyt, religion is still a tool for controlling the masses right now.

At the same time tho that same religion was used to the black communities advantage later down the line. Maybe they thought it would keep people more in line, and maybe it did work in someways, but I think if you were to look at the pros it isn't that bad
