Ive been organizing samples and such all day, and kind of fukkin around. Anyway my girl called and said shes on her way over and we are going out to dinner, so I hit record and tried to put together whatever I could with what I had.

I had a rhodes keygroup that instead of mapping to the keyboard I just used the pads
then an 808 kick and 808 snare....I managed to sneak a bassline under there too

i cant get soundcloud or audiomack to embed via tablet or pc...

(1) I like the piano part...

(2) I Don't like the 808's and the drum pattern...In my taste, I will use sampled drums to create a "dirty" sound...

(3) I wouldn't use such long notes with the bass....Your bass sounds like "boooooooooom"....With those keys, I hear more of a "boom, boom, boom" baseline for reference listen to "eye for an eye" by Mobb Deep...

However, I understand you were just cooking something real fast...

In my opinion, I think a boom bap sound would do the keys more justice than the current 808 trend...

I'm about to go in now after I listen to teks tape. I never knew 808s came back. I stocked up when 808s and heartbreak came out and I never ever used a kit. Might have used an 808 bass drum but that's it, so I have a couple kits scattered across hard drives and in different folders I just finally consolidated.I listen to more beat makers on youtube fukkin around with their equipment then I do actually rappers. I used to just listen to lupe, kanye, jay, doom, and a few other fools, dilla is dead...

I'm definitely going to recook, Ima peep that mobb too.

'preciate it breh

So i redid practically everything, changed the kick, hat and the snare samples, changed the bassline. I looked through some sampled drum loops and I couldnt find anything that jived right....I changed the bpm speeding up and I tried to give it that boom bap, it didnt really work..im going to upload the raw wav and hopefully one of yalls can do something with it.

the plain piano starts at 4:26 https://www.privatefiles.com/pj22wnry3rbe/somrthing4.mp3.html
