Question: Was Sailor Moon actually lit?

I will openly admit i watched this shyt before school every morning like clockwork and followed the storyline. I’m kind of surprised they never brought it to toonami and dubbed the rest of the seasons.

part of it was, that i literally watched anything anime growing up. This, samurai pizza cats, ronin warriors, dragonball, etc. good anime series growing up were sparse, and sailor moon actually had some fire animation in season 2. I actually think the original Sailor Moon series was more lit than Dragonball growing up.

The only thing lit about Sailor Moon was the theme song. Other than that it was repetitive af with weak action. At least in my opinion but the show is very influential. One of the major pillars of the magical girl genre.

It was broadcast on USA Network and then Toonami picked up the rights to broadcast the later seasons.

it was never mid. Its a children's show, they're intentionally repetitive. If u a grown ass man watching it now ofc you're gonna be bored by it. action was not the point of the show either, these are teenage girls fighting evil by moonlight & winning love by daylight.

Sailor Moon became the Gold Standard for "Magical Girl" anime. That being said a High-Level it was a general story with monster-of-the-week format.

It's a great starter anime, and it knows what it is, so it works.

Funny shyt though, DIC was trying to avoid talking about Neptune and Uranus' sexual relationship, so they called them 'Cousins' but still kept the romantic advances in the show; so instead of saying they were Lesbians, DIC had made them look they were Incestuous.
