Question to REAL John Cena fans... WHY?

He's nowhere near my favorite, but I think his presence as the most hated has it's place. I root for him to lose because he's so fukking corny.

I genuinely think his shirts are cool, respect his work ethic and his dedication to the Make A Wish Foundation, and I think he has one of the best theme songs of all time. Despite all the people hollering about how he can't wrestle, some of my favorite matches this year had him in it. I think he can put on a good match sometimes.

I definitely don't hate him, but I don't love him either.

Cena being any grown man's flatout favorite wrestler is strange to say the least.

Dude is a positive role model, does a lot for sick children, works his ass off and puts on good matches on a regular basis.

The writing for him has been subpar as of late... but at least he's gotten away from the juvenile promos talking about poop jokes which was pretty much everybodies biggest complaint...

the reason most people hate him at this point, is because they are insecure in themselves.

if you really think about it, he's not that bad. never has bad matches, when they let him do the serious promos, he's actually very good, and his matches get incredible reactions whether they are for him or against him...

I think you nailed it perfectly, if you hate Cena, it says a lot about you.

It's sad because there's nothing to hate about the guy, he is a character of a show. He is scripted to do what the director tells him to, but outside of the ring he does incredible things in REAL LIFE.

Yet you got a bunch of grown men who really do HATE a guy for no good reason

They are overloaded with a guy who Supermans and no sells finishers. I guess that's OK by the 2012 edict of wrestling fan but that shyt looks horrible ALL TIME. He also acts like a str8 up bytch on PPVs he jobs. He phones in performances like at WM 27

Where has anyone in this thread said that? They said he has good matches. And he does, just as often as he has matches that are ruined by his tension-killing formula. He may move like an 8-bit sprite and try too hard to play to those that dislike him, but calling him an outright terrible worker is a bit much.

Now, his character on the other hand...damn near insufferable. The smugness, the self-righteousness, I can't take it. I almost instinctively dislike his character in nearly any storyline that he's in, and his booking and card positioning really doesn't help.

But an outright bad worker? I thought 2006-2007 killed that image of Cena.
