Question on the mix of this track

I messed with the eq and just recorded a simple verse on top of beat some of yall might recognize. for people that know about eq should I have removed the low end all the way out and what else could I have done to make it smoother?

I would roll off the low slightly not all the way. The way the low frequency is now, the vocal is covering up your kick drum. you can raise the mids slightly to give it a lighter colored sound. Another thing I would do after doing the above listed is-->
You can either lower the overall level of the vocal track (slightly) or Turn the instrumental up slightly. But remember the lows are getting in the way a bit so I would take care of that first.
