Been wonderin this for a while, and the Future/Max B thread just made me think...Honestly,was it ever a point in time that Max B had shyt on LOCK in your region?
I'm talkin about NY/NJ/CT that area...

The way nikkas talk about him on the net you would think so..usually when a rapper is regarded as a even a regional legend to a bunch of people there had to be a point in time where nikkas was bumpin his shyt religiously. (ex:Boosie,Gucci,Jeezy in the south)

Was he a big deal like that in the real world or were his internet stans just :skip:

WSHH videos, jim jones beef and the murder case was the height of Max B's career. I remember when there was a small moment of recognition for Baby Maine and Max B was thrown in the mix as being his cousin.....but as far as having sh*t on lock...Naa....But there was a lot of bandwagon jumping once his name started getting strong around the time of the murder case.......Prior to that he was a Dipset flunky......Stack Bundles on the other hand is a god in Far Rockaway.

nikka was cult status for every nikka in New York between the ages of 16-21

I dont kno if olda dudes was bangin with him like that tho. Almost every single rapper from the North East that has came up in the past 5 years has stated Max B was as a influence. (Asap Rocky, Neako, Asap Rocky, Joey BadASS, Sir Michael Rocks, Drake, etc)

He was on Jadakiss status: hot on the streets and got mad play, but couldn't translate into mainstream success. He did give Jimmy Ones his biggest hit, "Ballin."

He was JUST starting to get a SMALL buzz for himself out here.

Most accurate post in this thread.

Max was just starting to gain real momentum in the city with his unique lingo and whimsical flair, etc. His problems put all that on an immediate hold and all we're left with today is a half-finished sandwich of a rap career that people still pick at.
